SPAIN’s Rafa Cabrera-Bello and Jon Rahm set the pace as the Filipino tandem of Miguel Tabuena and Angelo Que got off to a tough start in the World Cup of Golf on Thursday in windy Melbourne.
Cabrera-Bello and Rahm Carded a 69 to lead France, China and the US after the first round foursomes.
France’s Victor Dubuisson and Romain Langasque, China’s Wu Ashun and Li Haotong, and Rickie Fowler and Jimmy Walker of the US fired 70s.

England’s Chris Wood and Andy Sullivan had a 71, which was matched by Italy’s Francesco Molinari and Matteo Manassero.
Alex Noren and David Lingmerth of Sweden fired a 72, same as Denmark’s Soren Kjeldsen and Thorbjorn Olesen, and Ireland’s Shane Lowry and Graeme McDowell.
Tabuena and Que, however, were in joint 26th at five-over 77 with Malaysia’s Danny Chia and Nicholas Fung.
The Filipinos, who hit only one birdie against six bogeys, try to make up ground when play shifts to four-ball.
