MIA Piccio has found her rhythm after a faltering start, moving into the qualifying places for the next phase with a second round 70 in Stage II of the LPGA qualifying tournament on Wednesday in Venice, Florida (Thursday, Manila time).
The Filipina shotmaker, who struggled to a 77 in her opening round at the Bobcat course, played steady at the at the Panther course at Plantation Golf and Country Club for a 147 total.
She was in a group tied for 69th.
The top 80 players plus ties advance to the five-round Final Stage set at LPGA International in Daytona Beach from December 3 to 7.
Ontario’s Brogan McKinnon stayed on top, adding a 71 to her opening 66 for a 137 total.
Tied for second two strokes off were Minjee Lee of Australia and Ginger Howard of Florida, who shot 67s at Bobcat course, and Spain’s Celine Herbin, who fired a 70 at Panther course.
