INCHEON, South Korea — Mia Legaspi scored 72 while Princess Superal shot 73 in the second round as they slipped to joint eighth place in the Asian Games women's golf competitions at the Dream Park Country Club.
Legaspi and Superal, who opened with a 70 and 69 on Thursday, finished the day with a two-under-par 142 in a tie with Benyapa Niphatsophon of Thailand and Hyejin Choi of Korea.
The Philippine golfers are now seven shots behind leader Budsabakorn Sukapan of Thailand (135), who leads second-running Park Gyeol of Korea and Katsu Minami of Japan by three after 36 holes.
The Philippines also slipped from third to fourth in the team event with a total of 284.
Legaspi birdied the eighth and 17th hole against a bogey on the sixth to go one-under for the day but slipped with another boget at the last.
Superal, who was running third in the individual competition after Day One, had two bogeys after a birdie on the fourth.
