FOUR shotmakers from Thailand vie battle some of the best Filipina players in the ICTSI Ladies Philippine Golf Tour unfolding on Wednesday at the Luisita Golf and Country Club in Tarlac.
Chamchoi Saraporn hopes to finally nail the elusive win after runner-up finishes at Splendido and Wack Wack.
Amolkan Phalajivin winner at Splendido last year, is also in the field, along with Walailak Satarak and Pattaranakrueang Supakchaya.
Sarah Ababa is gunning for a second straight victory after turning winning at Sherwood last month.
Chihiro Ikeda and Cyna Rodriguez will not be seeing action in the P500,000 tournament organized by Pilipinas Golf Tournaments, Inc. as they play in the US.
Jayvie Agojo, Lovelynn Guioguio, Apple Fudolin, Lucy Landicho, Majorie Pulumbarit, Eva Miñoza and Lina de Guzman are playing in the 54-hole tournament, along with Cristina Corpus of the US, England’s Sarah Henderson and Korean Oh Yeji.
Luisita is also expected to test the field’s shotmaking and putting skills the way it did to the men of the tour when it marked its return to hosting big-time tournaments last May.
The par 72 course has been in top condition with new owners headed by Martin Lorenzo undergoing minor repairs to make it more challenging.
