Regan de Guzman, Dottie Ardina in top 10, stay on track in bid for LPGA Tour cards

AMATEUR golfer Regan de Guzman kept her place in the top 10, while Dottie Ardina also stayed on track for LPGA status after three rounds of the Final Stage of the Qualifying School on Friday in Daytona Beach Florida (Saturday, Manila time).

De Guzman fired a 70 for eighth spot after starting the day in joint sixth.

The Filipina golfer hit dour birdies and two bogeys on the Hills Course for a 209 aggregate.

Ardina, who saw action in the Symetra Tour last season, also came up with a 70 at the Hills Course.

She hit three birdies and a bogey to move from joint 12th to a share of 10th.

The top 20 from the field of 156 will earn full cards and the next 25 and ties will get conditional status.

Clariss Guce fired a 73 at the Jones Course and was in 80th at 220, while Princess Superal slid from joint 63rd to 101st at 222 after a 76 at the Hills Course.

Mia Piccio fired a 74 at Hills Course for a share of 116th at 223.

Cyna Rodriguez, who played in the LPGA last season, carded a 75 at Hills Course and was in 139th spot at 227.

Japanese teen Nasa Hataoka is on top of the table after firing a 3-under 69 for a 14-under 202 total, a stroke ahead of Jaye Marie Green, who shot a 67 on the Jones Course.
