ANTONIO LASCUNA came up with a bogey-free 68 and Elmer Salvador had a final-round 71 to finish tied for 17th in the King’s Cup on Sunday in Thailand.

Lascuna had one birdie on the front nine and made three on the back to wind up at 13-under 275 after earlier rounds of 69-71-67 at Singha Park Khon Kaen Golf Club.

The total was the same as the output of Salvador, who was joint fifth at the halfway mark with rounds of 68-66 but the third-round 70 and the closing 71 weren’t enough to keep up with the leaders in the low-scoring Asian Tour event.

Arnond Vongvanij won the event with a sizzling 64 in the final-round for a 22-under 266 aggregate, leading nine Thais in the top 10.

Thaworn Wirathchant had a closing 68 for a 20-under 268 aggregate, sharing second place with Mardan Mamat, the lone foreigner in the top 10. The Singaporean, who held the lead after 54 holes, had a final-round 69.

Miguel Tabuena had a closing 72 and finished tied for 39th at eight-under 280, while Mars Pucay wound up in joint 54th at four-under 284.

Thammanoon Sriroj (65) and Udorn Duangdecha (67) finished joint fourth at 19 under, while ending sharing sixth to 10th places at 16 under were Boonchu Ruangkit (67), Prom Meesawat (68), Piya Swangarunporn (70), Thongchai Jaidee (67), Kiradech Aphibarnrat (69).
