Southwoods 65 points clear halfway through Am Championship in Baguio

LANZ Uy scored a two under 67 for 38 points at Camp John Hay Golf Club in Baguio City to power Manila Southwoods to an even par 144 tally for 294 two day aggregate and a 65-point lead in the Am Championship of the 67th Fil-Am Golf Tournament presented by San Miguel.

Now with Southwoods after seeing action for San Miguel last year, Uy hit four birdies against two bogeys.

Southwoods, which started the day with a 36-point lead, got 36s from Liam Cully and the 14-year old Joo Hyung Kim, while Junjun Plana chipped in 34 points in the five-to-play four-to-count tournament.

Jose Emmanuel Sajulga had a 31 that did not count after opening with a tournament-best three under for 39 points.

Gary Sales scored 33 points to give Batangas Barakos a 115 for 229 points and second spot,

Mizuno Ecoverde was in third after a 116 for a 223 total, while two points further down is Razon of Guagua after a 109.

Forest Hills scored a 105 for a 216 for sixth spot.

Team Surigao had 100 points for 205, just two ahead of Silicon Valley which scored 104.

Summit Point Elite moved down to third spot after 95 for 196.
