    Kwan Shing Dee, Neil Uy reign supreme in Yulo Memorial tournament at Canlubang

    Kwan Shing Dee and Neil Uy wind up three points clear at Canlubang. 

    KWAN Shing Dee and Neil Uy combined for 160 Stableford points to take the overall title in the 40th Jose Yulo Memorial golf tournament at the Canlubang Golf and Country Club in Laguna.

    Mari Hechanova and Junjun Plana took the low gross honors at 297 in Cangolf’s premier member-guest tournament held in memory of the former House Speaker.

    Dee and Uy edged Christopher Yam and Jerboa Go, who pooled a 157, while Tommy Sliman and Joe Sullivan scored a 154 to take third place.

    Hechanova and Plana, meanwhile, flashed their familiarity with the layout to assemble to bag the team low gross plum.

    Aniceto Mandanas came away with a 142 to emerge the individual low gross champion, while Jonas Magcalayo placed second with a 144.

    JB Brillantes shot a 133 to cop the first low net crown while Paul Shenck took the other low net diadem with a 135.

    The other winners in the two-day event sponsored by Mitsubishi Mirage G4, The Turf Company, Texas Eagle with Pacsports Philippines, Inc. and Mitsubishi Motors Phil. Corp. as hole-in-one sponsors were Toshikatsu Oka-Yuji Tokunaga (77), Rupert Manhit-Bert dela Rama (80). Rudy Fulo-Jaime Bautista (82) and Chie-Fu Yeh-Robert Yao (82).
