JUVIC Pagunsan fired a closing 69 to finish in fourth spot in the Queen’s Cup on Sunday in Koh Samui, Thailand.
The former Asian Tour No. 1 had five birdies but hit a bogey on No. 4 and suffered a double-bogey on the par-4 No. 9 at Santiburi Samui Country Club.
Pagunsan, who started the day in second place, wound up at 12-under 272 for US$25,000 (around P1.2 million).
The shotmaker from Bacolod ended up three strokes off Nicholas Fung of Malaysia, who won his maiden Asian Tour title and bagged $90,000 (around P4.4 million) after a closing 67 for a 269 total.
Fung finished a stroke ahead of Thailand’s Jazz Janewattananond, who had the day’s best 66.
Angelo Que had six birdies in a closing 71 for joint sixth place at 275, bagging $14,383 (around P700,000).
Tony Lascuna fired a final round 70 for a 288 total and $2,250.
