Juvic Pagunsan winds up in joint fifth, Angelo Que 18th in Japan Golf Tour event

DAISUKE Kataoka fired a closing 67 to win by three strokes, while Juvic Pagunsan had a final-round 66 to finish in joint fifth on Sunday in the Kansai Open Golf Championship in Shiga.

Kataoka had a 17-under 267 total at the Meishin Yokaichi Country Club, winning over Brad Kennedy of Australia, who also shot a closing 67 for a 270 aggregate.

Yosuke Tsukada shot a tournament low 63 to claim a share of third with Won-Joon Lee, who had a 70 for a 271 total.

Pagunsan wound up at 12-under 272 in the Japan Golf Tour event after earlier rounds of 69-66-71. That was matched by Akio Sadakata (64), Tomohiro Kondo (66), and Hiroyuki Fujita (68).

Angelo Que, the only other Filipino in the field, also had a closing 66 for an 8-under 276 total and a share of 18th place.
