JUVIC Pagunsan posted his second straight top-10 finish in the Japan Tour, winding up in joint sixth in the Panasonic Open on Sunday in Chiba.

The Filipino shotmaker came up with a closing 2-under 69 highlighted by a final-hole eagle to finish at 9-under 275.

That earned him ¥4,975,000 (around P2.2 million), sharing sixth spot with Koreans IJ Jang, who shot a closing 66, and Kyung Tae Kim, who fired a 68.

They were two strokes short of a playoff with Japan’s Kenichi Kuboya, who had the day’s best 64, and Katsumasa Miyamoto, who shot a 68.

Kuboya won the title and ¥30,000,000 (around P13 million) on the first extra hole of the event co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour.

    Tony Lascuna had a closing 3-over 74 for a 284 total and a share of 44th place, bagging ¥485,142.

Pagunsan started his round with a birdie but quickly dwopped back with back-to-back bogeys, getting back to level only on the par-3 No. 13 with a birdie.
