JUVIC Pagunsan overcame a sluggish start, firing four birdies on the back nine for a 68 in the third round of the Hong Kong Open on Saturday.
The golfer from Bacolod was two over at the turn but picked up shots on the 10th, No. 13, the 16th and the closing hole.
That gave him a 2-under 206 total and a place in a big group sharing 19th spot in the tournament co-sanctioned by the European Tour and Asian Tour.
On top was Sam Brazel of Australia, who carded a 67, and Spain’s Rafa Cabrera Bello, whose 70 was just enough to keep share of the lead at 199.
Miguel Tabuena fired a 71 for a share of 47th with Miguel Angel Jimenez, among others, at 209.
Tommy Fleetwood was alone in third at 201 after a 67, while David Lipsky was in solo fourth after firing a 66 for a 202 total.
