LUISITA - Malaysia's Galven Green swore that he didn't do anything special on Friday at tree-lined Luisita. The outcome of his third round, though, was anything but ordinary.

"I just came out and played, not doing anything special," Green said after carving out an eagle-aided, bogey-free eight-under-par 64 for a one-shot lead over Michele Ortolani heading into the final round of the $100,000 BingoPlus Philippine ADT Open. "I was just finding fairways and hitting greens and fortunately made some putts."

Green and go

Green, who drained a 20-footer for eagle on No. 9 to get out in 31, equaled the low round of the week set by Englishman Thomas Plumb in the opener on Wednesday, even as Sean Ramos and Angelo Que remained as the only Filipinos with mathematical chances entering the final 18 holes after both cracked par for the third straight round.

"I'm just going to go out there and do that best that I can do," Green, who has a 54-hole aggregate of 202, said when asked of the mindset he will have playing in the final round. "There's a lot of golf to be played, still."

The 22-year-old Ramos put himself in a position to win for the second straight event.

"I feel a little bit experienced now, being in contention in these events," Ramos, who settled for a second-place tie at the ADT Players Championship in Malaysia last month after losing out in a three-man playoff, said. "I'm just more excited and happy to be continuing."

Que, on the other hand, is now seven shots off despite a 69. But the jolly three-time winner on the Asian Tour and reigning Order of Merit champion in the local PGT, believes that anything is possible.

"As long as you are out there playing, anything can happen," the 47-year-old Que said.

Second-round leader Franco Scorzato, who fired a 66 on Thursday, slowed down with a 71 to be three off the pace, even as Plumb rebounded from a second day 74 with his version of an eagle-spiked, bogey-free round, a 66, that has him breathing down the neck of the leader just two strokes off.

Ortolani, the Italian who sees frequent action in the Professional Golf Tour of India and the Alps Tour, had eight birdies in a 65 to be in contention for a breakthrough ADT title.

Amateur Shin Suzuki dropped out of the title chase after a second straight 72 as he is now 10 shots off, like Rupert Zaragosa, who also signed for a level-par card. Keanu Jahns and Clyde Mondilla also have 212 aggregates after shooting a 68 and 69, respectively.
