SIXTEEN-year-old Lydia Ko made his professional debut in an LPGA Tour event held at the Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida shooting an impressive 71 to trail Sandra Gal's 64 Thursday (Friday, Manila time).
Ko overcame a double bogey on her third hole with three birdies on the back nine for a 1-under 71. Gal was ahead of Ko by seven shots for a score of 64.
The tournament will grant the biggest payoff in women's golf for the first place finisher worth $700,000.
