CLYDE Mondilla staged an impressive final-day run at the ICTSI Caliraya Springs Championship, putting an end to his recent struggles and clinching a decisive victory over Angelo Que in Cavinti, Laguna on Friday.

Despite the initial expectation of a closely contested battle with Keanu Jahns, Mondilla surged ahead with a solid 70, securing a three-stroke lead over a surging Que at the wind-swept Caliraya Springs Golf Club.

He finished the 72-hole event on 10-under 278.

Mondilla seized control early on with a frontside 35, extending his overnight lead to three strokes.

Meanwhile, Jahns, aiming for a breakthrough win, faced challenges with his putting and stumbled with a 37 amid the difficult conditions, closing with a 74 and 5-under total for a share of third place with Kim Tae Soo.

As the back nine unfolded, Mondilla maintained his dominance, turning what could have been a tense finish into a victory lap.
