Bianca Pagdanganan bounces back with sizzling 65 in Women's PGA

BIANCA Pagdanganan recovered from a tough start in the Women's PGA Championship, matching the day's best with a bogey-free five-under 65 on Friday in Pennsylvania (Saturday, Manila time) to make the weekend play.

The 22-year-old Filipina, who opened with a 77, bounced back at Aronimink Golf Club, with four birdies on the back nine.

Pagdanganan moved to two-over 142 in a group tied for 24th that also has major winner Lexi Thompson, who shot a second-round 72 after an opening 70.

Sei Young Kim leads after adding a 65 to he opening 71, while just a stroke behind at 137 were Jennifer Kupcho, Danielle Kang, Carlota Ciganda and Anna Nordqvist.

Kupcho also fired a 65, Nordqvist shot a 68, while Kang and Ciganda both scored 69.

Dottie Ardina, the only other Filipina in the field, had a 77 after a 76, mising the cut.
