Bayron, three other Filipinos see action in India

ASIAN Development Tour money list topnotcher Jay Bayron, Philippine Golf Tour Order of Merit winner Tony Lascuna and two other Filipinos vie for honors in the Sail-SBI Open in India starting on Wednesday.

Teen sensation Miguel Tabuena and veteran Elmer Salvador are also seeing action in the 72-hole event set at the Delhi Golf Club in New Delhi, the second official tournament on the Asian Tour this season.

Bayron has been drawn to start in the morning with Matthew Stieger of Australia and Gaurav Ghei of India, while Salvador is grouped with Zaw Moe of Burma and India’s Vinod Kumar in the US$300,000 event.

Lascuna will play with 2011 ADT Oder of Merit topnotcher Jonathan Moore of the US and former Singapore Classic champion Himmat Rai.

Tabuena will start half past noon with Spain’s Carlos Pigem and Khalin Joshi of India.

Defending champion Anirban Lahiri also has a midday start, with Berry Henson of the US and Sri Lanka’s Mithun Perera.
