ANNYKA Cayabyab fired a closing 76 and finished joint 16th in the girls’ 11-12 division of the 2016 IMG Academy Junior World Golf Championships on Friday in San Diego, California.
Cayabyab wound up as the best-placed Filipina in event with a 228 total.
Alessandra Christine Nagayo had a final-round 80 for a share of 23rd.
Tusabasa Kajitani of Japan had a three-under 69 in the final round for a 54-hole total 8 under par 208 to win the title.
Zeus Sara finished in a tie for 36th in the boys 9-10 division after a final-round 75 for a 235 total.
The tournament drew 1200 participants from 54 countries.
