ANGELO Que takes time out from his hectic Japan PGA Tour campaign as he rejoins the Philippine Golf Tour Asia at the ICTSI Manila Southwoods Championships starting on Tuesday at the Legends course in Carmona, Cavite.
The power-hitting three-time Asian Tour winner placed joint 19th in the JGT Championship in Ibaraki.
Que has seen action on the local circuit only twice this year, finishing tied for ninth at The Country Club Invitational in February and joint 23rd in the Centennial Solaire Philippine Open in March before resuming his campaign in the lucrative Japan PGA.
Also among the favorites in the US$100,000 (around P5.2 million) event is newly crowned champion Jobim Carlos, the former amateur hotshot who finally joined the elite list of PGT Asia winners with a two-shot victory at Riviera.
Among the foreign players vying for the top prize of US$17,500 (P918,000) are Frenchman Janne Kaske, South African Mathiam Keyser, Englishman Matt Killen, John Michael O’Toole of the US, Australia’s Nathan Park and Korea’s Park Jun Sung and Lee Song.
