JUST like her beau, Alyssa Valdez is also starting to get hooked on golf.
TNT coach Bong Ravena bared the volleyball superstar took up the sport after her boyfriend Kiefer got serious with the sport last year.
Valdez’s trips to the fairways became limited the past few months when she had to join the national women’s volleyball team that trained in Japan and later competed in the Asian Games in Indonesia and the Asian Women's Cup in Thailand.
But she's getting back into the swing of things, and just last Sunday, Valdez hit a hole-in-one on the 11th hole of the Valley Golf and Country Club North Course in Cainta where Kiefer Ravena is a regular.
“Nauna lang si Kiefer ng konti pero kapag nandito siya sa Pilipinas, naglalaro laro sila lagi,” said Bong in a brief interview on Sunday.
The celebrated couple is actually having a double celebration in golf as Ravena recently won a tournament in Bacolod City.
“Grabe,” said Ravena, when informed about the hole-in-one of Valdez. “Si Kief naman, nag-champion sa Bacolod. Ibigay natin sa kanya ‘yang swerte na ‘yan. Pero magaling ha.”
