In a data accumulated by AppMagic, Pokemon TCG Pocket has garnered around $20 million in terms of revenues, while securing over 10 million downloads, since its release. The results revealed that Japan provides the highest share of revenues, amassing around 40%, while the United States has been a catalyst for the millions of downloads, where they accumulated 29% of the pie.
Gameplay
Like Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, Pokemon TCG Pocket provides digital copies of the iconic trading card franchise and there is also a gacha element as well.
For players to acquire their desired cards, they need to unlock packs, and if they want, they can also spend money and hopefully attain their cards. Emphasize on the word hopefully, since this is a gacha TCG game.
For starters, gacha is a gameplay term used to describe something that can be attained through sheer luck, so don't expect that you'll instantly get your favorite card just by spending cash, especially if your desired card or pack is branded as rare.
