MARVEL ENTERTAINMENT and NetEase Games have once again joined forces to save the world with their new video game project, Marvel Rivals.
The game features iconic characters from the Marvel universe such as Iron Man, Loki, Spider-Man, Rocket Raccoon, Dr. Strange, and others.
These heroes and villains would clash in team-based player vs. player shooter. Each character has their own unique abilities.
The trailer highlighted some of the most memorable moments in Marvel history such as Hulk smashing Loki similar to the Avengers movie, and Rocket's decision to ride Groot and go guns blazing.
There are even hints of other iconic characters entering the fray like Scarlet Witch, Star-Lord, and Storm, plus there could be a sudden flex as seen from a female Galactus.
While the game could be an exciting experience especially with the connection that Marvel has established with the community, there are some lingering concerns.
NetEase was once involved with Marvel's Mobile MOBA game, Marvel Super War, a game that struggled to compete against other Mobile MOBAs like Mobile Legends Bang Bang.
It even tried to establish an esports scene in the Philippines, which didn't last long.
Marvel Rivals is currently in development with the closed alpha test happening this May.
The game is currently available on PC via Steam, boasting over 70 GB.
