ANOTHER CHALLENGER awaits Mobile Legends: Bang Bang as Tencent's Honor of Kings has hit the Philippine shores.
The game is now officially free to download on Google Play Store and the App Store.
Honor of Kings is a 5-v-5 MOBA game that plays similarly to the likes of MLBB and League of Legends where players are tasked to brawl against their foes, push towers, and secure the main objective.
There are also similarities in terms of the positions as players will be tasked to occupy the top lane or clash lane, mid lane, bottom lane or farm lane, jungle area, while one player will serve as the team's main support/roamer.

What to expect with HOK?
The heroes of the game are based on Chinese folklore as seen from the likes of Wukong and Diaochan, historical figures like Marco Polo, Cao Cao, Genghis Khan, and Guan Yu, and characters from other universes like SNK's Mai Shiranui and Nakoruru.
And for those who wish to dig deep into the game's overall lore, the website has even published stories centered on the various factions and cities in the world of HOK.
When it comes to the esports scene, China has been a dominant force given the numerous International championships they've attained.
And now with the game reaching a broader global audience, will the Philippines finally stand up and test their prowess? Recently, the country is digging deep into the scene with Blacklist International announcing its HOK team, while Tencent has been driven to push the esports scene from the grassroots level.
This will also serve as a test for the developers if they can finally penetrate the esports scene in the country, something that other Mobile MOBA games have tried and failed.
