ANOTHER BLACK OPS GAME, and another opportunity to dig deep into the Cold War, while shooting zombies and going guns blazing in multiplayer events.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is officially out and here's what players can expect in Treyarch and Raven Software's latest game.
Heads up, the Philippines will be featured in zombies
Enter Terminus, an island research facility located in the Philippine Sea. WOOH! Philippines represent! What twisted works of hell will we see on this map?
But besides Terminus, there are other zombie maps that fans should be excited for, like Liberty Falls, which is located in a small town in West Virginia.
In addition, some of the classic fan favorites will be making a comeback. Round-Based Zombies will still headline the game mode, and as usual, zombie maps will have their own cast of characters, and narrative that's worth exploring.
Introducing Omnimovement
Then when it comes to the gameplay side of things, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 amps the overall experience with the all-new omnimovement.
With this gameplay addition, players can execute chain-like combos, especially when paired with the Supine Prone ability, that allows players to rotate while proning.
With these changes in terms of player movements, expect more thrills and actions, and some superhero-esque shooter gameplay.
The story so far...
Just like in previous Black Ops games, the Cold War will still be the main focus of the game. The story is set back in the 1990s, a time whem the world is transitioning to the final days of the Cold War.
The most iconic characters from the past will make their return like Frank Woods and Russell Adler. In addition, a new cast of characters will be introduced like Troy Marshall and Jane Harrow.
Then when looking at the setting, players can traverse the Russian Tundra, a vast Middle Eastern desert, Southern Europe, etc.
And there are other things to look forward to in Black Ops' latest campaign, where players get a chance to explore, solve puzzles, and engage in another spy thriller narrative.
The multiplayer experience
And now let's talk about the most awaited game mode, multiplayer, where there are 16 new maps to play, which includes 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 strike maps that can be played on a 2v2 experience or 6v6.
And with the times moving towards the end of the Cold War, expect new weapons and perks to aid players in competing against their rivals.
There are also added multiplayer features such as weapon camo challenges and the like.
With Black Ops entering a new age, expect a lot of explosions that will blow you away. The game is available to play on PC (Microsoft Store, Battle.net, and Steam), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
