GENERAL Trias and Pasargad dispute the last quarterfinal berth in Group A as they take on each other on Tuesday in the United Football League Cup at the University of Makati pitch.
Game time is set at 5:15 p.m. with both teams hoping to join group mate and tournament favorite Global in the Round of 8 that gets going on Nov. 6.
A draw will be enough for General Trias, the Korean-led squad which is running second with seven points, ahead of Pasargad, owner of six markers in three matches.
General Trias would have to be wary of Pasargad’s Masood Shadideh, who scored five goals in the team’s 8-0 shutout of Socceroo two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Stallion targets the solo lead in Group D as it collides with defending champion Philippine Air Force at 7:30 p.m.
Stallion is currently in second place with six points in three matches, while the Airmen are not far behind at third place with four points in two matches.
While a win for the second-running Stallion would vault them past Philippine Army (eight points) at the top, a loss would be equally costly as it eliminates the club from quarterfinal contention.
