Ten-man Global FC blanks Archers to remain unbeaten and regain UFL top spot

GLOBAL FC went down to 10 men in the second half, but still blanked Green Archers United, 4-0, to remain unbeaten in the United Football League on Saturday night at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Despite goalkeeper Patrick Deyto getting ejected with over 20 minutes left, the reigning UFL Cup champions still scored the shutout win behind goals from Amani Aguinaldo, Misagh Bahadoran, Serge Kaole, and Juan Ortiz.

Global notched their ninth successive victory to regain the top spot with 27 points, three ahead of Loyola Meralco, while the Archers stayed in the middle of the pack in seventh spot with 13 points in nine matches.

Global’s win, though, was marred by Deyto’s sending of in the 67th minute for complaining to an official, but despite going a man down, coach Leigh Manson's side kept its onslaught as Ortiz struck the team’s fourth goal three minutes before stoppage time.

Forza also scored a shutout win, at the expense of Laos FC, 2-0, while Stallion FC produced a smilar lopsided win, a 5-1 decision of Agila.
