Although tied in their bracket with four points each, General Trias, the Korean-laden squad based in Cavite, gained the group lead owing to a superior goal difference.
In another surprising result, Philippine Army blanked Stallion, 2-0, to gain the early lead in Group D.

Ariel Zerrudo struck twice for Pachanga, while Jason Cunliffe, Guam’s national team captain, added a goal off a penalty kick in the blowout victory that moved the squad to the top of its group.
