    Another Ravena rises as Thirdy leads MVP race in UAAP juniors division

    THIRDY Ravena of Ateneo leads the race for the UAAP juniors Most Valuable Player award at the end of the first round of eliminations.

    Ravena compiled 74.4286 statistical points in seven games after averaging 19 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 4.1 assists, according to a report by the league’s statistics provider Imperium Technology and Smart Bro. 

    A mythical five member last season, the younger brother of Blue Eagles star Kiefer Ravena led the Blue Eaglets to a 5-2 win-loss record halfway into the regular season of the UAAP.

    Teammate Michael Nieto placed second with 73.1667 SPs but is already disqualified for an award due to a one-game suspension he incurred during the first round.

    Mark Dyke of league-leading National University and Reinier Quinga of Adamson are in joint third place with 68.5714 SPs, while Henri Subido of De La Salle-Zobel was in fifth with 67.8571 SPs.

    The Bullpups topped the tournament after the first round with a clean 7-0 win-loss slate followed by the Blue Eaglets. De La Salle-Zobel also has a 5-2 win-loss slate while Far Eastern University-Diliman is in fourth with a 4-3 card.

    University of the East has a 3-4 card followed by University of Santo Tomas (3-4), Adamson (1-6), and University of the Philippines (0-7).
