Prince Orizu's coming-out party couldn't have come at a better time for FEU

    Nov 25, 2015

PRINCE Orizu’s best game of the season couldn't have come at a better time for Far Eastern University.

The Cameroonian center was a revelation in Game One of the UAAP Season 78 Fibals, scoring 10 points and grabbing nine rebounds in the Tamaraws' 75-64 win over University of Santo Tomas.

Orizu proved a monster off the bench for the Tamaraws, highlighting his stint with a few dunks and follow-up slams that deserve a place in the night's highlights.

FEU coach Nash Racela, however, was more pleased with Orizu's defense on karim Abdul. Although the UST big man topscored with 19 points, Abdul had to bleed for his points and shot 7-of-17 from the field.

“He matched up against the intensity of Karim,” said Racela.

With Mac Belo and Orizu combining for 22 rebounds, FEU won the battle off the boards, 56-32.

Orizu credited Racela for his breakout game, saying, “They are the ones who motivate me in practice. Coach Nash always says that it’s not all about the scoring. It’s about rebounding.”
