IS Kiefer Ravena the newest member of SMP or the Samahan ng Malalamig ang Pasko?
The Ateneo star admitted he and rumored girlfriend Mika Reyes don’t have much time for each other during the holiday season as La Salle’s women’s volleyball team continues to practice despite the long break of the UAAP tournament.
Ravena said he and Reyes will just have to wait for the season to be over before enjoying their you-and-me time.
“Wala, season siya so hindi kami masyado nagsasama,” said the reigning UAAP men’s basketball MVP. “Even noong start pa lang (ng volleyball season) syempre focused din siya.”
“Hindi rin naman namin kailangan pag-usapan, kasi noong season ko naman siya rin naman ‘yung medyo umiintindi,” added Ravena.
Being an athlete himself, the 21-year old basketball phenom understands the time Reyes needs as the Lady Spikers are gunning to regain lost glory this season after losing the title to archrival Ateneo last year.
“Pagdating sa ganito dapat very understanding ka,” he said. “Kasi she’s going for something this year and her team also, so hindi muna ako nakikigulo. I understand naman na hindi siya pwede. Ganoon talaga.”
Ravena said he can’t exactly say any definite plans for the two of them -- fondly called Miefer by their fans – this Holiday break as he will have to settle for whatever extra time Reyes will have for him.
“Wala (Christmas plan) kasi ang hirap magplano kasi of course unang-una family time ‘yung Christmas,” he said. “Pangalawa, medyo shaky ‘yung sched niya kasi anytime pwede magpatawag ng practice, so nasa dorm lang siya.”
“We don’t make plans pag may extra time, extra extra extra time talaga na tipong wala talagang gagawin or sure na walang training then we make time siguro just to see each other for a while, kwentuhan lang,” he added.
“Pero ngayon were not talking about it. Patapos na rin naman ang first round so mabilis na, antayin na lang yan.”
La Salle is currently on top of the standings with an unblemished 5-0 card, just a notch ahead of defending champion Ateneo (4-0).
