UST star Kevin Ferrer back at his best after getting a clean bill of health

    Nov 11, 2015

ANY concern about Kevin Ferrer’s health following a scare over the weekend have been eased.

The Tigers top gun said he underwent a battery of tests days before Wednesday’s game against Adamson and doctors gave him the a clean bill of health.

“Lahat ng tests, normal,” said Ferrer.

Ferrer got a scare on Saturday when he suffered from heart palpitations in their game against Far Eastern University. He was able to get back to the game after a few minutes of rest, then later said chocolates he ate before the match may have caused the attack.

“Inobserbahan nila ako pero okay naman ako,” the UST star said.

In his first game since that incident, Ferrer finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds as the Tigers clinched a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four with a 78-63 win over Adamson, assuring the former national player a playoff stint in his final year with the school.

Aside from the game being important in clinching a Final Four berth, Ferrer also said they need to use the Adamson game as a stepping stone entering the postseason.

“Dito kami kukuha ng kumpiyansa sa Final Four,” Ferrer said. “Sabi ko sa kanila, kailangan nating ipagpatuloy ‘yung ginawa namin against FEU. At least, nakita namin kung hanggang saan kami.

“Pero hindi pa namin gusto ‘yung performance namin. Kailangan higitan pa namin."
