STALLION FC salvaged a 1-1 draw against Pachanga-PLDT Hime Fibr on Saturday night in the United Football League at the Emperador Stadium in Taguig.
Nathan Alquiros continued to show why he is suited in the UFL as he scored for the third straight game, providing the equalizer for the defending champions early in the second half.
The Stallions, though, remained in fourth spot as the result hurt their back-to-back title hopes.
League-leading Loyola's 1-2 loss to Green Archers United earlier, however, kept the Stallions alive in the race.
"May hope pa rin kami," said Alquiros, the La Salle standout who rarely scores in the UAAP. "Yung talo ng Loyola, sign yun na kahit sino pwede pa rin manalo."
It was a disappointing result for Pachanga, which failed to build on Ariel Zerrudo's opening goal 35 minutes in.
The former Division 2 champion thus stayed in seventh spot with a seventh loss in 12 games.
