PSG FC hopes to finally translate its National Football Championship success to the United Football League as it takes on Pachanga-Diliman FC on Saturday night at the Emperador Stadium in Taguig.
After reaching the finals of the national tournament last month, the Iranian-laden squad has so far been unable to live up to expectations in the UFL as it remains winless in two games.
But the squad formerly known as Pasargard, hopes to turn things around this time in the lone Division 1 match at 8 p.m. against newly promoted opponents.
Midfielder Hamed Hajimehdi continues to skipper the squad, which is also expected to lean on Filipino-Belgian right-back Angelo Marasigan and flashy goalkeeper Reza Ataei.
Pachanga, bannered by Gumanian national team captain Jason Cunliffe and midfielder Anton Gonzales, is looking to bounce back from its 1-0 loss to Loyola Meralco last week.
A pair of Division 2 games are also in store on Saturday with Dolphins United gunning for a share of the lead when it collides with Agila at 6 p.m. shortly after Union Internacional Manila faces Cebu Queen City United two hours earlier.
