SMART Communications, Inc. got the better of Globe Telecom, Inc., 8-2, when the two rival wireless services providers faced off for the championship of the TNG Football Tournament at the Turf field in Bonifacio Global City.
The TNG Football Tournament was organized by property company The Net Group Philippines, with Procter & Gamble, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Baker & McKenzie GSM, and Deutsche Knowledge Services also taking part.
The all-employee team was led by skipper Johann Rabago, a compliance, solutions and services supervisor, and included executives like James Bernas, head of the corporate wireless and Infinity sales department, and Patrick Belicena, head of the wireless network engineering department.
The Manny V. Pangilinan-owned squad also received individual awards for best goalkeeper, midfielder and defender.
