JUDY Connolly scored the equalizing goal for the Philippines as it salvaged a 3-3 draw against host Uzbekistan in the 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers on Monday at the Yunusobod Sports Complex in Tashkent.
Connolly made a lefty shot from the right wing with two minutes remaining in the match, just seconds after Uzbekistan looked ready to celebrate from a goal by Lyudmila Karachik.
Even with the draw, the Philippines got a favorable result after the No. 59-ranked squad got a point against No. 18 Uzbekistan.

The Philippines even got a 2-1 lead on a goal by Katrina Guillou in the first half, before Karachik evened the score in the second half.
The Nationals earned a provisionary lead in Group C with four points following a 4-1 win over Kuwait, putting themselves in position at obtaining one of the nine spots in the Asian Cup.
Bella Flanigan got the Philippines ahead, 1-0, three minutes into the match, as Nilufar Kudratova tied it after four minutes.
The Philippines will look to draw closer to a spot in the Asian Cup as it faces Turkmenistan on Wednesday.
