SEVEN clubs will see action in the inaugural season of the Philippine Premier League (PPL) which will open on March 30.
Ceres Negros FC, the only champions in the two-year run of the now-defunct Philippines Football League, lead the cast of teams that will compete in the league competition.
The other clubs include Green Archers United Globe FC, Kaya Iloilo FC, Mendiola FC, Philippine Air Force FC, Stallion Laguna FC, and Global Cebu FC.
The seven clubs will also be competing in the cup competition of the Philippines called the Paulino Alcantara Cup.
PPL commissioner Bernard Sumayao said the league competition will open on March 30 with a doubleheader at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium, with the full schedule to be released on March 15.
The league will be shown on 5 Plus channel 41 and on live stream.
