THE Philippines Football League brought to you by Qatar Airways will open its 2020 season on October 24 inside a bubble once given the approval of the Inter-Agency Task Force.
The matches will be held at the Philippine Football Federation National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite with the clubs to be billeted at the Seda Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna during the entire season.
PFL commissioner Coco Torre met with the six clubs on Thursday evening to discuss the season wherein they play a single round-robin elimination, with the top four advancing to the finals series.
Torre also discussed the PFL bubble in which no one from players, coaches, and match officials will be allowed to leave their hotels unless for training and matches in Carmona.
The bubble is still subject for the approval of the IATF with the league also closely coordinating with the Games and Amusements Board and the Department of Health for their health protocols.
The opening day matches will feature the Azkals Development Team battling Mendiola FC at 4:30 p.m., and Stallion Laguna taking on Kaya FC-Iloilo at 8:30 p.m.
Maharlika Manila FC and United City FC will make their PFL debut with a clash on October 25 at 5 p.m.
