PASARGAD presses its bid to keep its place in Division 1 of the United Football League as it takes on streaking Pachanga-PLDT Home Fibr on Tuesday night at the Emperador Stadium in Taguig.

In the lone top tier playdate of the week, the relegation-threatened squad faces fifth-running Pachanga at 5:15 p.m. hoping to inch closer to eighth-running Socceroo.

The Division 1 first-timers Socceroo is five points clear of cellar-dwelling Pasargad, which, however, still has two games on hand.

Under this year’s rules, the team that finishes at the bottom gets demoted to Division 2.

On the other hand, the top two teams will be promoted from the lower tier, where Ceres-La Salle and Manila Jeepney FC are running first and second, respectively.

Pachanga, still without Azkal Nate Burkey, is on a two-game winning streak. But it was the one which gave Pasargad, which totes a dismal 1-2-12 win-draw-loss card, its only victory of the season, a 1-0 decision in the first round.

Pasargad also snapped a seven-game skid after fighting Socceroo to a 1-1 stalemate last time.

In the early match, midtable squads Green Archers United and Philippine Army collide at 5:15 p.m.
