Modou Manneh struck a volley in the 69th minute for the lone goal of the match to pick up the full three points and a 2-0-1 win-draw-loss record.
Despite the defeat, Cebu FC remains at second place with a 2-0-1 slate due to a superior goal difference, ahead of Manila Digger and One Taguig FC.
Stallion Laguna FC, meanwhile, remains unbeaten with their third victory after beating PFF Youth National Team, 4-0.
Kaya FC-Iloilo carved out its first win after beating Maharlika Taguig FC, 4-1, with Shuto Komaki scoring two goals, ahead of their AFC Champions League Two clash against Eastern FC of Hong Kong on Thursday. The defending PFL league champion opened the new season with a 1-1 draw over Davao Aguilas-UMAK.
Loyola FC beat Mendiola FC, 3-2, and One Taguig FC nipped Davao Aguilas-UMAK, 2-1.
