NOT even the return of an old reliable could keep Kaya FC from settling to a scoreless draw against against Stallion FC in the United Football League on Thursday night at the Emperador Stadium in Taguig.

In defender Aly Borromeo’s first game back from an ACL injury that sidelined him for practically two years, Kaya failed to find the offensive punch against an impenetrable Stallions defense to end up with a stalemate that left a dent in its title bid.

Kaya had scored at least three goals in each of the last four games, including a season-high nine against Pasargad. The last time the David Perkovic-mentored squad was held scoreless was in March 9, when the regarded tournament dark horse settled for a draw, against--you guessed it--Stallion.

The result bodes well for pacesetting Global FC, which remained five points clear from closest follower Loyola Meralco and seven clear of third-running Kaya (37 points).
