KAYA FC and Stallion FC posted lopsided victories on Thursday night in the resumption of the United Football League at the Rizal Memorial Stadium after a three-week break.
Kaya overwhelmed Nomads, 16-1, before the Stallions shut out Laos FC, 8-0, to keep their spots in the upper half of the 12-club league.
Kenshiro Daniels was adjudged Man of the Match as he and fellow Azkal OJ Porteria registered four goals each for Kaya, which went on a tear in the second half where the former UFL Cup champion fired 10 of their 16 goals.
Louis Clark, David Tanton, and Jovin Bedic added a brace each, while Miguel Tanton and Janrick Soriano also found the back of the net for Kaya, which stayed in second spot with nine points in four matches, three behind Global FC.
The Stallions, who remained in sixth spot with six points, scored two goals in first half, before pouncing on a Laos side that went a man down due to yellow card accumulation from Alhassan Mohammedu early in the second half.
Joshua Beloya fired four goals, Fitch Arboleda added two, while Balot Doctora and Nathan Alquiros chipped in a goal apiece for the former league champions.
