KAYA FC Iloilo defeated Stallion Laguna FC, 2-0, at the Binan Football Stadium on Wednesday to stay on top of the table in the Philippines Football League.
Jovin Bedic converted a penalty kick in the 25th minute, while Ghanaian footballer Jordan Mintah made it a two-goal advantage in the 87th for Kaya.
Kaya, which beat Green Archers United on Saturday, is on top with six points followed by Ceres Negros FC, which took its first win with a 5-0 victory over Philippine Air Force.
Bienvenido Maranon posted a hat trick for the Busmen, scoring in the 14th, 76th and 82nd minutes, while Curtis Dizon had goals in the 52nd and 80th.
Ceres, which drew with Stallion in its opener, have four points.
At the Rizal Memorial Stadium, substitute Christian Zubiri scored in the 72nd minute as Green Archers United defeated Global Makati, 1-0, to move to third place with three points.
