GLOBAL FC continued to enjoy the view from the top of the United Football League (UFL) as it dominated Forza FC, 12-0, in a match early in the second round of the tournament on Wednesday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
The reigning UFL Cup champions scored six goals in each half while keeping a clean sheet to roll to the shutout victory, their 11th against one draw for 34 points, six ahead of Ceres-La Salle and JP Voltes.
Misagh Bahadoran sustained his sizzling form with four goals, while Omid Nazari and Hikaru Minegishi registered a hat-trick each for Global, which also saw Matthew Hartmann and Andreas Esswein join the scoring fray.
JP Voltes sent Green Archers United crashing back to earth with a 3-0 victory that allowed the Japanese-loaded squad to tie Ceres in second spot.
Takumi Uesato scored a brace, while the Voltes, which blanked an opponent that stunned the defending champion Busmen a few days ago, also benefited from an own goal from Archers defender Ronnie Aguinsanda.
