KAYA FC averted a collapse against Socceroo, scoring a 4-2 victory on Saturday night to keep in step with the leaders of the United Football League at the Emperador Stadium in Taguig.
The third-running side squandered an early lead, before turning it up a notch in the second half to defeat the Division 1 rookies.
Four booters were on target for Kaya, which notched a third straight victory to become the third club in the league to reach 30 points.
Soccero, despite a brace from Korean star Lee Jeong Woo, stayed in eighth spot with nine points.
After Christian Ayew Egba put Kaya up six minutes into the game, Lee singlehandedly turned the game around when he scored a penalty in the 13th minute and a curling strike in the 39th to put Socceroo on top.
But just when the first half was about to end, Kaya skipper Anton del Rosario sneaked in a diving header to equalize the count.
Kaya ran away after the restart as Pablo Rodriguez gave the David Perkovic-mentored side the lead for good in the 57th with a conversion off Kenshiro Daniels, who then struck the insurance goal with a low shot in the 73rd.
