THE Philippines Football League (PFL) opens its second season on Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Two-time champion Ceres Negros FC battles Stallion in the second match of a doubleheader at 7 p.m., while Kaya FC Iloilo takes on Green Archers United at 4 p.m.
The PFL was resurrected by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) after the Philippine Premier League (PPL) closed shop just one match day into the season.
The other teams that will see action are Mendiola FC, Air Force and Global Makati.
Teams will play a double-round home-and-away for a total of 24 matches each. Ceres and Kaya, however, have agreed to play their home matches in Manila if their opponents are not capable of flying to Bacolod and Iloilo respectively.
Aside from the Rizal Memorial Stadium, matches will be held at the PFF pitch in Carmona, Cavite, Binan Football Stadium, Panaad Sports Complex, and Iloilo Sports Complex.
