The Philippines advanced to the semifinals of the AFC U-14 Girls Regional Championship Asean zone tournament.

THE Philippines beat Cambodia, 1-0, to clinch a semifinal berth in the AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship Asean zone tournament in Vientiane, Laos.

Trinity Wambolt scored the lone goal in the 44th minute that allowed the Filipina booters to advance in the next round.

The Nationals, who won two of their three matches in the preliminaries in Group A, will face Myanmar in Saturday's semis.

It has been an impressive stint so far for the Filipinas, who have yet to lose in the tournament after previously forcing a 2-2 draw against powerhouse Thailand, which eventually emerged as the top-seed in Group A.

The Philippines earlier beat Laos, 3-1, to start its tournament campaign.

Thailand faces Vietnam in the other semis bracket.
