GLOBAL FC looks to get back at Johor Darul Ta'zim in the return fixture in the group stages of the AFC Cup on April 5 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

The Misagh Bahadoran-led club had hoped to get a huge away win but instead was badly beaten in Johor, 4-0, and wound up trailing the Malaysians by a point for the top spot in Group F.

The winners of each group and the best second placer from the nine groups advance to the Asean Zonal semifinals.

"It was just a bad result. A bad result. We're just so disappointed. I'm sure we can score some goals and we could press them cause they were very slow," said Bahadoran.

“In the air, Amani (Aguinaldo) and Wesley (Santos) could win the ball. We are fast in collecting the second ball but we decided to sit back," he added.

The Malaysians were just a step quicker than Global as they kept possession while patiently building up attack after attack.

The Cebu-based football club was content to stay deep and wait for the hosts to make a mistake and it cost them four stunning goals which all came from excellent build-ups.

That is why putting the pressure on JDT early will be imperative as they look to regain the top spot in the group next month.

"I think, hopefully we press a little bit front. The first line of defense starts with strikers, we need to press them a little bit forward and we have to score early goals," Bahadoran said.

"I think the next game we should allow them to push forward and let them do long ball, and there's Amani and Wesley which can win the balls in the air and we'll do counter. Press them instead of for 30 or 40 minuted just sitting back and just let them play the ball."
