GLOBAL Cebu finally made a move in the transfer window after getting back Spanish goal machine Rufo Sanchez to beef up its attack in the Philippines Football League.

The club announced the return of the 30-year-old striker on Tuesday together with the signing of Ilocos United defender Dominic del Rosario and University of Sto. Tomas standout Darryl Regala.

"It's a good addition for Global. We need players who can put the ball forward fast," said team skipper Misagh Bahadoran.

Sanchez had a short stint for the Cebuano side in 2013, making six appearances and scoring five goals in the Singapore Cup.

A tug of war between Global and Sanchez's former club in Stallion then ensued, prompting the UFL to suspend the striker for a year because of contractual issues.

He had his best time in the Philippines with Stallion, scoring 18 goals in 14 appearances to lead the club to the league and cup titles back in 2013.

Sanchez returns to the Philippines following a successful stint in the Thailand second division, scoring 11 goals for Songkhla United and seven for PTT Rayong.

He is expected to boost the Global attack as he sets to partner with Daryl Roberts up front.

The People's Club currently sit at the fourth spot of the PFL table with 22 points after 12 games.
