FEU booters are early leaders in UAAP football after two-goal win over UST Tigers

Far Eastern University zoomed to the early lead in the UAAP Men's football tournament after beating University of Santo Tomas, 2-0, at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Sunday.

Val Jurao and Rico Andes scored consecutive goals in a span of four minutes and the booters from Santo Tomas never recovered from there.

Jurao opened the scoring for the Tamaraws as the midfielder took advantage of a confusion in the UST defense, scoring from a free kick in the 31st minute.

It did not take long for the Tamaraws to pad that lead as Andes doubled the score three minutes later, tapping in Chy Villasenor's cross.

The three points allowed FEU to take the early lead following draws between University of the Philippines and La Salle (0-0), and University of the East and National University (2-2).
