Ceres forces draw with Home United to keep group lead in AFC Cup
Stephan Schrock and Ceres forced a draw with Home United.

SUPER Herrera's late goal turned out to be enough for Ceres Negros as it goes back from Singapore with a point following a 1-1 draw against host Home United in the AFC Cup on Tuesday evening at Jalan Besar.

Herrera scored from a well-taken header in the 79th minute following a beautiful delivery from substitute Manny Ott from the corner.

Herrera rose above three defenders at the near post to score the equalizer and negate an early goal from Sharil Ishak.

Ishak converted off the penalty spot after Sean Kane was called for a foul inside the box.

The Busmen could have gone home with all three points but Bienve Maranon missed a penalty in the 13th minute which would have been the opening goal for Ceres.

With the draw, Ceres remains on top of the group with four points. Home also has four points but sits at second by virtue of goal difference.
